Where I'm stuck is on how do I add the storage drives so that they retain the shared files (which are being duplicated by WHS), as well as my backups? I realize that I'll need to re-add the users to the new install, and I might even need to reinstall the connector software on the client machines. So, what I need advice on it, what is the least painful way to proceed? Since the old server is still running, and I will have a new mobo/cpu/ram/hard drive, I plan on installing the OS, installing drivers, and running updates until it's completely updated, then transfer the hardware to my server case. I plan on sticking with WHS v1 unless there are compelling reasons to go with 2011. However, my hardware is starting to show its age, so I'm considering a motherboard/cpu/boot drive (to a 120gb SSD) replacement. In addition to the boot drive, there are 4x 2TB drives in the server.
